Tough Love Fitness is a group Pilates, Barre and Yoga based program

My offering is designed especially for men and women age 40+ who need a good workout that will help to fight off the "midlife middle" and increase strength and mobility. 

BUT, this program is great for ALL ages and fitness abilities!! 

Modifications and challenges are offered for each movement so you get the workout YOU need.

My program improves core strength, stamina, flexibility and range of motion. 

And we have FUN!

We use cool playlists and silly humor to help get over the tough parts of the practice. 

You will sweat! 

You will get your heart rate up! 

And you will come back for more!

At Tough Love Fitness, we help you achieve lasting health transformations from within. Linda’s Tough Love Fitness Club offers Pilates, Barre and Yoga classes for men and women over 40 who want to avoid high impact, high intensity workouts. Whether you join us in person at Encanto Park or online (via Zoom), you will enjoy a safe and fun environment where you can shape up, practice mindful movements and restore your body with positive energy.

Tough Love is not painful, it is empowering and healing for your body and mind. You will get the benefits of physical, mental and emotional wellness without the exhaustion of other programs. Tough Love Fitness also makes the workout fun with cool music and Linda’s witty jokes. You will sweat! You will raise your heart rate and you will come back for more because a great workout doesn’t have to hurt!

I have been taking virtual Pilates classes with Linda for about a year since the pandemic began. I’ve appreciated being able to participate in the classes to break up the daily monotony that came with social distancing . I have enjoyed Linda’s personality, energy level and solid knowledge of the practice. Over the past year, these Pilates virtual lessons with Linda have given me increased strength and a new challenge to take on. I have been a long distance runner for many years, and I recently have begun some longer hikes with a lot of altitude gain. 

I believe Linda’s Pilates classes have greatly contributed towards my increased strength to be able to do 14-18 mile hikes. Today while doing an especially steep climb I could feel my stronger core helping with the ascend. There is no doubt I have grown stronger over the past year thanks to Pilates. I have also noticed less backaches due to increased core strength and stretches practiced during Pilates! The workouts with Linda have also improved my sleep at night!

Attending Linda's class was one of the best decisions I ever made.  She is a great instructor, very positive and will help you the best she can.! I have been following Linda  for about a year now.  The reason why I decided to follow Linda was because after having 3 kids, my body didn't look as flattering like before.  So, I tried Linda's class  to help me and it worked. The classes were a bit hard at first but as I started taking a few more classes, I became to love it. Linda's classes consist of Yoga, Pilates and Barre. Each of these classes have helped me and it helped me improve my balance and toned my body.  Whenever I have a day off at work, I would take that time to go to Linda's classes. Fast forward to the present, I am still taking Linda's classes and I love it.

Linda's classes are the absolute best. You get a good workout while having fun. The exercises are varied to focus on strengthening the core and other muscles that are often forgotten. The music selection is perfect and varies with the season or the feel of the year. But most of all, Linda has the best attitude that is uplifting and encouraging which makes many of us stay in the classes for years!
